While everything is going standard there – little-known poker players in the Russian-speaking community win bracelets. The “Old School” is trying to replenish its collection of golden titles.
In Rio, 31 tournaments have already been played (or are coming to an end), in which almost all the first places went to the Americans. The exception was Event #26 NLH Freezeout for $1,000 — Czech poker pro-Dalibor Dula won it. He beat eight Americans at the final table, including Maurice Hawkins, the WSOP-C record holder (14 rings), and Max Coleman.
Doula has been in power for only five years, the victory brought him the first gold bracelet and best cash in his career – $199,227:
“I haven’t figured out what happened yet. I think in a week or so I will feel happy, but now I’m just shocked,” Dula commented.
Only one prize at the WSOP raised Dalibor in the top 100 best Czech players according to The Hendon Mob.

The women’s tournament, in which a man with noble goals took part, has ended. The contest gathered 644 registrations and a prize pool of $573,160. The American poker player Lara Eisenberg won it, she received $115,694 and the first gold bracelet to her account.
In total, Lara has 16 hits in prizes at the WSOP. There is also one WSOP Circuit gold ring — the only thing missing was a bracelet.
“This is a real dream. I came to this event in the hope that maybe someday I will get to the final table, and to leave with a victory is an indescribable feeling. It was fun, a lot of jokes, but there were really serious competitors,” comments Lara.

The first day of the No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw tournament ended today at the WSOP with a $1,500 buy-in. Several well-known players moved to the second one. The leader board is headed by Ali Imsirovich, who is hunting for the first bracelet, as well as Daniel Negreanu and Phil Helmut. They are located in the middle of the chip count.
Of the 82 players who passed on the second day, 22 have at least 1 WSOP gold bracelet, so the final table can be extremely interesting.
